I own my Sorento for 3 months and love it overall. But I am now having a problem with the check engine light coming on with only 2,900 miles. I took it in to an authorized KIA Service Center today and they told me a sczn code of P0446 showed and they replaced the vent control valve. I drove it back home today, about 17 miles, and sure enough it happened again. Needless to say I am quite unhappy. I was a 1997 KIA Sephia owner and had the same problems back then. I remember after the 3 rd time they finally replaced some part that caused them to keep the car for 3 days and it did not happen again. I suspected thay disconnected the wire back then due to the fact that the 2 nd time I was told they replaced a defective gas cap. When I got home, I checked it and the same ink stamped #7D17 ( I had already recorded ) was still on the inside. It was my cap! Overall it was a nice commuter car. I really love the SORENTO but hope this problem is corrected properly. It is not the best 6 cyl on gas but it is about 4,300 pounds and built on a truck frame I'll take that trede-off anyday! My question is: Has anyone else had this problem and if so, was it effectively corrected? Thanks, Mike.
